A single download for Android and iOS. Sign in once and the app shows the right interface for your role — Admin, Director, or Broadcaster — automatically.
Android and iOS builds are distributed by invitation during the private beta. Approved pilots receive install links for both platforms.
The app reads your role from your account on sign-in and routes you to the right surface. No separate downloads for camera operators, directors, and admins.
Run the whole organization from your phone.
Switch the live program in real time, hands-free.
Turn any phone into a professional broadcast camera.
Broadcaster role
Sign in as Broadcaster and the app turns any smartphone into a professional broadcast camera. One tap to go live — the app handles publishing, reconnects, and event timing for you.
Hardware-accelerated H.264 encoding on iOS and Android, low-latency SRT or universally-compatible RTMP.
Tap "Go Live" before the streaming server is ready — the app waits, polls, and starts publishing automatically once everything is online.
If the streaming server changes mid-event, the app re-fetches the new URL and reconnects without dropping the operator's flow.
Swap cameras between takes with a single tap. Permission handling is built in.
Clear ON-AIR / Connecting / Waiting indicators so the camera operator always knows the publish state — no more silent failures.

Director role
Sign in as Director and take control of your HodieLive broadcast from your phone. Preview all camera feeds, switch with a tap or a voice command, and manage your live session — all from the sidelines.
Just say:
Watch the broadcast output in real time, with a clear ON-AIR indicator on the active camera.
Tap numbered buttons to switch instantly, or use natural voice commands hands-free while you watch the action.
See at a glance which cameras are online, offline, or having issues — before you switch to them.
Start and stop the broadcast session and supervise the run from the same screen.
Pick the event you're directing and the app loads every assigned camera ready to switch.
Admin role
Sign in as Admin and the same app surfaces everything your organization needs to plan, schedule, and manage live productions — no laptop required.
Create events, set start and end times, assign cameras and operators, and review them on a single dashboard.
Invite operators and directors, assign roles, and control which events they have access to.
Configure outputs to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, or any custom RTMP destination — with stream keys stored securely.
Build reusable camera configurations once and apply them across recurring events — no setup ceremony each game.
The same app powers every part of a live production — from the operators in the field to the director on the sidelines.

LiveSource is our previous app on the App Store. We're moving everything into a single unified HodieLive app, and the iOS rebrand is rolling out next. Until then, the LiveSource listing is the right one for iOS broadcasters.
Google Play now requires verified-developer enrollment for new accounts. We're completing that process; in the meantime, the open-beta APK is the official way to install on Android.
SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) offers lower latency and automatic error correction, ideal for unreliable networks. RTMP is universally compatible with existing streaming infrastructure. The Broadcaster role supports both.
All HodieLive plans include up to 4 simultaneous camera feeds. Need more? You can add cameras 5–12 at $3/hour each on any plan.
Absolutely. The Broadcaster role is designed to be simple enough for anyone to use — sign in, pick the event, tap Go Live. No technical training required.
